The Basque Gobernment is planing to organise volunteer leisure ships to clean the oil spills, specially on rocks and cliffs.

The main goal is to pick up as much fuel as possible before it arrives the coastline, where it becomes very difficult to clean up.
 

We will include the way to join these volunteer ships as soon as this tasks get organised.

The town-hall of Getxo has prepared a list where you can get enroled as a volunteer for the beach cleaning tasks in case the quantity of arriving spills increase.

In case it would be necessary, Civil Protection from Getxo would contact the volunteers on that list.

You can give your name at the Getxo Local Police station in Alango No 25, Algorta.
